Understanding diesel heater fuel consumption and running costs is important when choosing a heating system for a workshop, warehouse, garage or commercial building.
The AIRREX AH-500i uses approximately 1.05 litres of diesel per hour on Low (11 kW) and 1.42 litres per hour on High (15 kW). The AIRREX AH-900i uses approximately 1.81 litres per hour on Low (19 kW) and 2.30 litres per hour on High (24 kW).
These figures represent continuous operation at the selected output. In normal use, the built-in thermostat automatically controls the heater, switching the burner on and off to maintain the required temperature. This means actual daily fuel consumption can be considerably lower.

The AH-500i uses approximately 50 W while operating, while the AH-900i uses approximately 60 W. Both models require a short period of higher power during start-up.

The AIRREX AH-500i is suitable for heating spaces up to approximately 1,500 m³, while the AIRREX AH-900i is designed for spaces up to approximately 2,500 m³.
